Enhanced Needs Identification

1.11 Enhanced NI-Labour Market Destined Section

Purpose
The Enhanced Needs Identification (NI) combines the previously existing Initial Contact-reporting purposes with the Needs Identification information collection under domains. The Enhanced NI can be done anonymously then attached to a registered individual, or simply completed and ‘filed’ for reporting. The Enhanced NI can also be done from an existing registered individual within the Common Outcome Plan (COP).

The provision of doing an NI or assessment is counted as an intervention towards federal funding for education or employment programs. As such, 3 fields need to be completed in every NI to indicate whether the intervention counts towards funding from the Federal Government.

Procedure
Anchor Point: Anonymous Needs Identification or Needs Identification in Common Outcome Plan

  1. Select the drop down toggle beside the Labour Market Destined heading
  2. Answer ‘yes’ to ‘Labour Market Destined’ if the Individual is ready, willing and able to commit themselves to pursuing a training program and/or employment service that will enable them to actively seek and accept employment. Otherwise answer ‘No’
  3. Select the ‘Language of Service’ as ‘English’, ‘French’ or ‘Not English or French’ to reflect the language the NI was provided in
  4. Select the ‘Main Source of Income’ indicating where the Individual gets their main income from
