LMTA/LMDA Tip Sheet
Demographic (Federal Data Screen)
Most is collected under the registration functionality. There has been a Federal Data screen created that puts all this information collection together. This screen is on the Person Page, under Personal Information tab and the Federal Data sub-tab.
AB Supports should not see the Federal Data screen as “their” responsibility to review/maintain. Staff delivering employment services are responsible for ensuring the information is collected. However, as an Individual is registered or addresses and contact information changes, AB Supports, through their regular processes, will capture some of that information. The collection of this data through regular processes, will automatically be reflected in the Federal Data screen. When reviewing the Person Home page fields that may be highlighted as having relevance to LMTA and can be updated when possible include Marital Status, Indigenous Identity, Indigenous Type, Address, Gender, SIN.

Assessment Services
Alberta receives funding for interventions. An intervention is a discrete program or service an individual participates in. Assessments are a type of intervention so we must be able to count them when the assessment meets particular criteria. Currently we have 3 assessment areas in CCISD Case where this criteria is collected in 3 check boxes; the Needs Identification, Holistic Assessment, and the Alberta Works Assessment. The AW Assessment will not be used at the time of the R5 release. This assessment is for future use when Income & Employment moves over to the CCISD case workspace and until then the LMTA information will be collected and counted in the existing SND and EA assessments.

Employment and Training Support
To measure the success of employment and training programs, Alberta must provide information on interventions (discrete program or service an individual participates in) made by our province in relation to employment and training to prepare Albertans to participate in the labour market. This information will tell the Province which types of interventions produce positive results for Albertans. This information is collected through the entry of specific education and employment actions in the outcome plan. This also means that collecting and updating education and employment records in the Details tab is very important.
Expectations |
When working towards a goal related to employment or skill development, use predefined actions where possible to enter education and employment related actions that will help the Individual participate in the labour market. |
Update the progress on employment and training related actions to reflect whether the ‘intervention’ was completed (achieved) or not. |
LMDA Eligibility
Within the Details tab, there is a section called LMDA Eligibility. Though it asks questions about employment insurance, AB Supports will not be filling out this information. This screen will be the responsibility of staff delivering employment services who have access to a secure web-based application called “LMDA Access”. Without this access, staff cannot complete the full LMDA Eligibility screen mandatory fields.
