Guidelines for Recording Information in Mobius
The following information outlines the expectations of how information is recorded in Mobius for Alberta Supports:
- Information should be recorded in point form or full sentences.
- Where possible use plain language and avoid Community and Social Services jargon.
- Avoid local acronyms such as community resources or programs the individual or family are involved with
- Ensure other staff across multiple programs will be able to understand the information entered. Notes that are more in depth than a yes/no answer are required so others are able to understand the circumstances
- Notes should be written professionally and sensitively; remember that individuals/families can request and view their file information
- If a note/comment box is left blank this means that no information in that area was collected
- Notes in comment boxes need to include an individual/family’s strengths as well as concerns
- Using first person is allowed when writing an individual/family’s vision, goals or actions. For example “I will get a job” instead of “John will get a job.”
- The Assessments and Outcome Plan are living documents and can be added to/changed as circumstances changes
- Ensure Support Network members are recorded in Mobius. This allows for contact information of the Support Network to be available at any time.
