Strengthening Child Safety with New Immigrant Families Program: The project aims to build the capacity of parents and caregivers to support their children’s safety from and in the event of bullying, cyberbullying and exposure to family violence. The focus is new immigrant families in Arabic, Somalian and Sudanese communities. The project will build a team of liaisons who will represent the communities they serve.

Crowsnest Pass Women's Resource and Crisis Centre

Mentoring Moms Program: Will provide single and low-income mothers, struggling with addictions or mental health issues, with increased emotional support including increased parenting skills and building community connectedness to prevent child abuse and neglect.

North Star - Aapatski'kaktosi - The Building Stronger Urban Aboriginal Families: This project will provide culturally relevant parenting programs for Indigenous families to reduce their involvement with child welfare and prevent family violence and child abuse.

Wood Buffalo Children's Advocacy Centre: The grant will be used to support a Project Enhancement Manager, with a multi-disciplinary team, with supports for victims of abuse. The goal of the team is to maximize the mental health of children and youth going through the justice system to prevent their re-victimization.

Little Big Bear Advocacy Centre: This project supports the development of the Little Big Bear Advocacy Centre and the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). Building Protective Mechanisms Within African Francophone Families:  This project will work in an ethno-culturally sensitive way with women in the African Francophone community (Congo, Ivory Coast and Chad) who are victims of family violence.  The project will provide education and awareness supports to the community, as well as engaging men and boys on family violence and will build capacity within the community to promote healthy relationships.

Family Violence Services:  Increase the number of counsellors for those impacted by family violence, as well as continuing the provision of HomeFront (Safe Communities) which is a court-mandated service for those impacted by family violence.  Focus on Indigenous and rural communities.

Community Initiatives for Abused East Indian Women:  This agency helps abused East Indian women and their children in their native language and provides in-home family support, counselling and legal advocacy as well as interpreter services.

Engaging Immigrant and Refugee Newcomer Men and Boys: Violence prevention programming will provide supports to fathers and sons during their settlement journey. A strong focus will be on developing healthy relationships and navigating new cultural environments in a healthy way.

Community Action for Healthy Relationships (CAHR) Network:  This program focuses on outreach services to clients impacted by family violence, conducting danger assessments and creating safety plans.  It will also extend healthy relationship groups to rural areas to provide further intervention supports.

Domestic Violence Response Unit (DVRU):  This project will provide a direct response to high incident rates of family violence and ensure that the needs of the family will be met during a crisis.

West Yellowhead Domestic Violence Treatment Program:  This family violence program uses therapists to extend the reach of the program to the families of the offender.  The program offers a cultural worker to provide outreach to Indigenous people families impacted by family violence.

Domestic Conflict Response Team:  Provides in-home support to families impacted by family violence.  These families are identified by Child and Family Services, the police or community agencies that are in contact with the family, such as schools, churches and social agencies.

Lac La Biche and Area Family Violence Program:  This program was designed based on community needs and will provide community members with tools to create healthy relationships through a 12-week program.  Focus on Indigenous and rural communities.

Calgary Emergency Protection Order Program (CEPOP):  This program provides access to justice services with no-cost assistance to claimants who are navigating the legal system due to domestic violence issues.

Relentless Caring Connections:  Through a collaborative partnership, this project addresses multiple and complex needs of at-risk families by ensuring they have access to wraparound supports.  The hope is to increase a protective factor to decrease family violence.  Focus is on immigrant communities.

Parkland Turning Points Society

Offender Treatment and Victim Supports Program Expansion:  This treatment program is for both victim and offenders of family violence, with a focus on the cycle of abuse.  

The Today Family Violence Help Centre

Specialized Support for High-Risk Victims of Family Violence Prevention Partnership Project:  This project promotes the development of a community action service plan by increasing wraparound support in one location for family violence victims in high-risk populations.  Target populations include ethno-cultural and LGBTQ communities.

Family Violence Project:  This project promotes awareness of family violence in the community and provides victim services to people impacted by family violence.  The client focus will be on Indigenous people struggling with mental health issues.
