Budget 2016 - Alberta Human Services - Government of Alberta

Budget 2016

On April 14 the Alberta government released Budget 2016. Human Services Budget 2016 provides stable funding to maintain the programs and services that support at-risk children and youth, families fleeing violence, persons with disabilities, and homeless Albertans. The budget also maintains significant previous investments in Family and Community Support Services, services provided by women’s shelters, and to stabilize the child intervention system. Albertans affected by the economic downturn are supported, and the new Alberta Child Benefit helps improve the quality of life for lower-income families.
