Alberta Homelessness Research Consortium

The Alberta Secretariat for Action on Homelessness is the coordinating body for the Alberta Homelessness Research Consortium.

Established in 2010, the AHRC supports the objectives and strategies within A Plan for Alberta by informing policy development and sharing best practices.

It is a forum to share knowledge, develop opportunities, and facilitate collaboration among researchers from across Alberta who work in diverse fields, but share homelessness as a topic of study.

Community Research Projects

The Alberta Homeless Research Consortium (AHRC) was established in 2010 to support the implementation of A Plan for Alberta by building our knowledge about how to end homelessness in Alberta.

The AHRC issued a Call for Proposals (CFP) for community-based research projects that would focus on different aspects of homelessness in different Alberta communities. Read more...

Alberta Homelessness Research Agenda (2011-14)

The AHRC’s activities are guided by the Alberta Homelessness Research Agenda (2011-14), which identifies the research priorities among those in community and government who are collaborating to implement A Plan for Alberta.
