PDD Advisory Committees

PDD Provincial Advisory Committee

This committee consists of families, service providers, representatives from the Alberta Association for Community Living and the Alberta Council of Disability Services, as well as senior PDD program staff. It provides an ongoing mechanism for communicating with stakeholders and getting their input and feedback to provincial program policies and strategic directions. This will help to ensure the program is as effective as possible in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

PDD Provincial Self-Advocates’ Advisory Committee

This committee is made up of people with developmental disabilities from all across the province who are advocates for the rights of people with disabilities. Committee members share ideas from their regional self-advocacy groups with the committee and give advice on how to make the PDD program work better for the people who use it.

Copies of meeting minutes for these committees are available by contacting Denise.Sydor@gov.ab.ca.
