Disclosure Requirements

The Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act (PSCTA) requires public sector bodies to publicly disclose all remuneration paid to members, regardless of the amount, and the remuneration paid to employees earning more than the stated threshold for that calendar year.

This disclosure is done by publishing a statement of remuneration, which outlines information for each employee over the threshold and for each member.

Public sector bodies are required to disclose the names and amount of compensation and severance paid to eligible employees, board members and appointees twice per year:

  • June 30 of every year – compensation paid from January 1-December 31 of the previous calendar year
  • December 31 of every year - severance from January 1-June 30 of the current calendar year

This is a requirement under the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act, which applies to:

Nil Reports

Any public sector body that has no employees earning over the threshold and no members receiving compensation, severance, or non-monetary benefits, is to provide a Nil Report advising that there is no disclosure.

The following Community and Social Services (CSS) and Children’s Services (CS) agencies have disclosed a NIL Report:

The Appeal Panels administered by the Ministry of Community and Social Services (formerly known as the Human Services Appeal Panels) include the following six panels:

  • Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) Appeal Panel;
  • Child Care Licensing (CCL) Appeal Panel;
  • Child, Youth and Family Enhancement (CYFE) Appeal Panel;
  • Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) Appeal Committee;
  • Income and Employment Supports (IES) Appeal Panel; and
  • Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Appeal Panel.
