Contracts and Procurement

Contracted service providers play a critical role in providing the services Albertans need to reach their full potential and to benefit from our province’s thriving social, economic, and cultural life. Human Services contracts with agencies to provide direct, specialized, community-based supports and services for vulnerable Albertans.

Contracts with a range of service providers help meet the unique needs of children, youth, families and individuals in challenging circumstances; in emergency situations; or who require intensive supports to assure their safety and well-being.

Human Services has continued to evolve toward a citizen-centred delivery model to help ensure services and supports are better integrated and produce the results Albertans want and need. This includes aligning and integrating contracting for programs and services to help address challenges experienced by contracted service providers and ensure every dollar invested in supporting Albertans has a positive impact.
