Confidence leads to career

Photograph of KabeerWhen Kabeer first approached WCG for help with his career, he was unemployed, he lacked confidence and he was concerned that his young age and lack of experience would prevent him from finding meaningful work that he enjoyed. He wasn’t sure what he wanted to do and didn’t recognize all the skills that he had to offer employers. Kabeer enrolled in WCG’s EmployMe program and took the workshop lessons to heart—practicing them both inside and outside the classroom. Kabeer quickly became a leader in his class and even represented his classmates as their speaker during the graduation ceremony. He also performed exceptionally well during the work experience portion of the program. His supervisor was so impressed with his work ethic, and how he got along with the customers and other staff, that he was offered a permanent full-time job. Today, Kabeer is employed, is excited to go to work every day, and has a positive outlook on his future.

“I feel more confident, more open to talking and I’m not intimidated by conflict anymore. I’m successful because I gained a positive attitude and I have more appreciation for continuous learning.”
