Going after what you want

Photograph of BarbaraBarbara was unemployed and needed to improve her computer and job interview skills. She was nervous about front-line customer service roles and wanted more of an office administration support role.

Barbara’s Alberta Works Career & Employment Consultant referred her to the Bredin Centre for Learning’s Integrated WorkSkills training program to help her round out her skills and experience.

Barbara successfully completed the program, including work experience in a data entry / admin support role with a local voluntary organization. She used her new skills and work experience to land an administration role with a local hearing aid company.

“A million thank yous for all the wonderful things you have extended to me during this application process. You are the best! I wouldn't have gotten this job without your support. You have gone above and beyond your scope of duties. Thank you so much! Ladies like you are the reason why I am proud to be a Bredin graduate.”

The WorkSkills training program is funded by the Government of Alberta
