Increased confidence and a renewed work ethic

Photograph of LarissaLarissa was an unemployed single mother looking for a better life for her and her young son. It was difficult for her to find and maintain a job, because she did not have dependable childcare or transportation to get into town.

Larissa completed Aseniwuche Winewak Nation’s 12-week integrated training program. Through the program, her self esteem grew and she was able to work through some of the barriers previously holding her back from employment success.

Upon completion of the program, Aseniwuche Winewak Nation hired Larissa as their receptionist and, according to her supervisor, is doing very well. Larissa continues to upgrade her skills by taking courses offered through her office. She now has reliable childcare in place and is working towards getting her driver’s license.

Larissa said, “This program has greatly benefitted my renewed work ethic. Giving me a revived confidence booster, that the instructor brought up over the course.”
