Learning to believe in herself

Photograph of EdnaEdna had been out of the workforce since having her fourth child and was struggling with self-confidence issues. As a single mom, she was having difficulty finding reliable childcare so she could pursure opportunities for self improvement.

Edna successfully completed Aseniwuche Winewak Nation’s Integrated Training Program and her self-esteem grew in leaps and bounds. During the work experience component of the program, Edna was introduced to a local wilderness foundation. Foundation staff appreciated her enthusiasm and hired her to work in their office at the end of her program.

Today, Edna has reliable childcare, works in an interesting and supportive work environment and has even been credited with assisting the foundation in producing  wilderness films and books. She has made great strides and plans to write her GED in the near future.

Edna said, “I brag and recommend this awesome program to all. I am a mother of four children and I am very proud of my accomplishments.”
