Programs and Services Catalogue

P22. How Product Providers Can Initiate an Update in the Programs and Services Catalogue

Generally, when a Product Provider identifies a need for a modification in the Programs and Services Catalogue, the process for updating the Catalogue differs depending on the type of program/service.

Type of Program Action How Catalogue is Updated
Occupational - approved by Alberta Advanced Education and stored in Provider and Programs Registry System (PAPRS)

Updates PAPRS.

May have to notify Contract Services Coordinator (CSC) or designate if there is additional information (not stored in PAPRS) that needs to be entered (e.g. seat numbers).

PAPRS Interface runs overnight and further information may have to be manually entered by Mobius Support based on the Exception Report.

CSC or designate sends ‘Request New or Amendment to Product Provider, Programs and Services Catalogue’ (RNAPP) form to Mobius Support to enter missing information into the Catalogue, such as seat numbers.

Non-occupational approved by Community and Social Services

Send request to Delivery Partnerships Unit (DPU)

May have to notify CSC if there is additional information (not stored in PAPRS) that needs to be entered (e.g. seat numbers).

DPU provides information to Mobius Support to enter into the Programs and Services Catalogue. If required, the CSC completes RNAPP form and sends to Mobius Support to update the Catalogue.

CSC sends RNAPP to Mobius Support to enter into Catalogue.

Contracted – stored in Contract Management Application System (CMAS) Notifies CSC CSC completes RNAPP form and sends to Mobius Support to update Catalogue.

Updating Session Information (Product Provider)

There are some situations where it is appropriate for the Product Provider to provide session update information directly to Mobius Support (email CSS.MobiusRequests@gov.ab.ca).

Part-Time – Program Referral Dates are Shorter than Session Dates in PAPRS Catalogue

Full-time occupational programs can be comprised of a myriad of courses that can have differing lengths and start/end dates.  Part-Time session start/end dates in the Programs and Services Catalogue will likely match the start/end dates of the full-time program. For example, you may see:

Health Care Aide – full-time – February 2-June 30
Health Care Aide – part-time – February 2-June 30

If a part-time learner will not be attending for the entire session as outlined in the Programs and Services Catalogue (for example, will be attending March 15-May 15) the Provider can notify Mobius Support directly of the accurate session dates.

Contracted Training* – Continuous Intake

Some contracted training programs have continuous intakes which mean a learner can start training at any time. Rather than entering a session for every possible start/end date, sessions will be added to the Programs and Services Catalogue as the need arises. This is another situation where the Provider can notify Mobius Support directly with the session information.

*Tuition based training could also have continuous intakes. The Provider does not have to send the session information to Mobius Support for Occupational Programs. The session information will come from PRS (downloads into Mobius through the interface or exception report to goes to Mobius Support to manually enter). In the case of Community and Social Services approved programs DPU or the CSC notifies Mobius Support. Again, the CSC may have to provide additional information to Mobius Support (e.g. seat numbers) via the RNAPP.
