Supplementary (Additional) Health Benefits
AUTHORITY
Income Support, Training and Health Benefits Regulation, Schedule 4, sections 6(1)(a) and 27

INTENT
To assist with costs associated with specific medical needs.
POLICY
Learners may have other additional medical costs that can be considered. This includes:
- Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices
- Hearing Aids Benefits - effective July 1,2010, refer clients to the Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) program
- Medical and Extraordinary Transportation
- Medical and Surgical Supplies
- Special Diets
PROCEDURE
A learner must submit a Change in Circumstances form for Learners during the training period to request any of these benefits.
