Part 1 Income Support and Benefits and Training Benefits

Division 3 Learner Household Units, Non-financial Eligibility - Designated as Learner Member and Training Service Plans, Section 41 Age and school attendance requirements

  1. A person is eligible to be designated as a learner member of a household unit only if the person

    1. is at least 18 years of age, and

    2. has not attended a school under the School Act or a similar institution for 12 consecutive months.

  2. The Director may reduce the age requirement in subsection (1)(a) to 16 or 17 years of age and waive the requirement in subsection (1)(b).

  3. This section does not apply to an apprentice full time learner.
