Income Support, Training and Health Benefits Regulation

Part 1 Income Support and Benefits and Training Benefits

Division 3 Learner Household Units, Non-financial Eligibility - Designated as Learner Member and Training Service Plans, Section 40 Suitability

  1. A person is not eligible to be designated as a learner member of a household unit unless the person

    1. is unemployed or marginally employed,

    2. requires full time training to be fully employed,

    3. is ready, willing and able to attend full time training,

    4. will improve his or her employability and earning potential with the skills, experience and competencies gained from the full time training,

    5. for a transitional vocational approved training program, has been assessed by the Director as having a mild developmental disability, and

    6. is otherwise suitable in the opinion of the Director to participate in an approved training program.

  2. This section does not apply to an apprentice full time learner.
