Temporary Employment and Job Creation Programs Regulation

Section 2 Employers

The following are prescribed employers for the purposes of the section 27(1)(a) of the Act:
  1. the Government of Alberta or an agent delivering services on its behalf;

  2. a municipality under the Municipal Government Act;

  3. an Indian band under the Indian Act (Canada);

  4. a settlement under the Metis Settlements Act;

  5. a school jurisdiction under the School Act;

  6. a municipal library or community board under the Libraries Act;

  7. a society under the Societies Act operating a nursing home under the Nursing Homes Act;

  8. the Alberta Blue Cross Plan under the ABC Benefits Corporation Act;

  9. an authority under the Regional Airports Authorities Act;

  10. a regional health authority under the Regional Health Authorities Act;

  11. a board of a public post-secondary institution or a board of a private college operating under the Post-secondary Learning Act;

  12. a non-profit organization;
