Termination of Coverage
Coverage is only terminated prior to June 30th if:
- An applicant provided false information or understated actual income and it is determined that the applicant was never eligible.
- An eligible child turns 18, unless the child is attending school (K-12) full-time and living with a parent or guardian, in which case, when the child turns 20 or is no longer attending school.
- The applicant or eligible child ceases to permanently reside in Alberta.
- A learner does not start an approved training program and their income exceeds the qualifying income levels.
Note
A debt may be assessed for any health benefits provided under these circumstances.
