INTENT

Financial support for dependent children is the responsibility of both parents. If the parents have not been able to reach a reasonable agreement for support based on the Alberta Child Support Guidelines the Child Support Worker will assist by pursuing a court order.

Adhering to the requirements under the Family Law Act (FLA) and judicial procedures while ensuring appropriate access to legal advice, this ensures court procedures are done accurately and court orders are obtained in a timely and efficient manner.
