5.8 Goal Update Progress
Purpose
The Goals functionality will capture the individual / family goals and the prioritization or sequencing of those goals based on professional advice from Alberta Supports staff and other partners.
Procedures
Method One: Update Progress from List Action Menu
Anchor Point: Goals tab in Common Outcome Plan
- From the individual / family Common Outcome Plan Page, select the Goals tab from the Navigation Bar
- From the List Action Menu select Update Progress
- Select the Outcome (progress) of the Goal
Note:
- A regular progress of a Goal should be “Not Started”, “In Progress”, “Achieved” or “Not Achieved"
- Reason is required if a Goal Outcome is set as ‘not achieved’
- End Date is only required if a Goal Outcome is set as “Achieved” and it auto populates
- Select Reason (if applicable)
Note: Reason is required if a Goal Outcome is set as “Not Achieved” - Enter a Note (if applicable)
- Select Save
Method Two: Update Progress from Progress tab in the Goals details
- From the individual / family Common Outcome Plan Page, select the Goals tab from the Navigation Bar
- Select the Goal by clicking on its hyperlink and Goal home page will display
- Select the Progress Tab from the Navigation Bar
- Select Update Progress
- Update the Goal Progress as required
- Select Save
Notes:
- Progress Updates will be kept for future reference
- Progress Update can be viewed via the View Progress List Action Menu
View Progress Updates
- Select the hyperlink of the goal to see progress updates
- Select Progress subtab
- A listing of all progress updates opens, including:
- The date of entry
- Who entered the update
- Status Outcome at the time of the update
- Any progress notes entered
