Approval Suspensions/Terminations

P06. Community and Social Services Approval Suspension

Suspensions are usually the result of non-compliance but could also be a mutual agreement between the CSC and the Provider to delay the start date of the session. The purpose of the approval suspension is to temporarily stop further program referrals to that particular program/course/session. In order to prevent further program referrals, the session seat numbers can be modified. If there are active referrals, the seat number is modified to match the number of current active referrals. In this way, Mobius reads that the session is “full” and it won’t allow further referrals. If there are no referrals, the seat number on the session would be changed to “0”. However, it is important to note that any referrals that are inadvertently made could be waitlisted.

Business Rules/Criteria/Standards

In order to stop/suspend further referrals from being made, the session seat number has to be modified to reflect the current number of referrals (that way, the session is considered full). Once a referral to a session has been made, the start and end dates of that session cannot be modified in any way. If the session needs to be cancelled, then the referral must be cancelled and the proper procedure for cancelling a referral must be made. The seat number must be adjusted accordingly to ensure no further referrals will be made to the session. However, if a referral is made, it will be waitlisted.
