The core income support that may be provided by the Director under section 5(1)(a) of this Act to a learner household unit is comprised of a core essential payment and a core shelter payment determined as follows:
the maximum core essential payment that may be provided to a learner household unit is the amount per month determined under section 7;
the maximum core shelter payment that may be provided to a learner household unit is the amount per month determined under section 9;
if the household unit has a dependent child member who is
at least 16 years of age and under 20 years of age,
attending high school under the School Act, and
a parent of a dependent child living with the household unit,
a high school incentive amount determined in accordance with the regulations.
