In this section and sections 52 to 54 and 56, “budgetary requirements” means, subject to section 54(1)(c), the total value of
the core income support determined under the Act, and
the supplementary income support determined under the Act.
The budgetary requirements that are to be considered are the projected budgetary requirements for the members of the household unit for the number of months in the training period.
The high school incentive amount is the difference between
the total amount of the core income support that would be paid to each household unit if the dependent child and his or her child were treated as a separate household unit, and
the amount of the core income support the household unit would receive if the dependent child and his or her child were not treated as a separate household unit.
For the purpose of subsection (3)(b), a dependent child is considered to be attending high school during a normal scheduled break if the dependent child is enrolled to attend when school recommences.
If an adult non learner member of a learner household unit is approved for student funding, the core income support that may be provided to the household unit is reduced by half.
