Part 4 Temporary Employment and Job Creation Programs (Section 27)

Section 27 Temporary employment and job creation programs

  1. In this section,

    1. “employer” means an employer as prescribed;

    2. “job training program” means a job training program established or operated by the Minister and prescribed in the regulations;

    3. “temporary job creation program” means a job creation program established or operated by the Minister and prescribed in the regulations.

  2. Notwithstanding the Labour Relations Code and the Public Service Employee Relations Act, the terms and conditions of employment of a person who is employed by an employer under a temporary job creation program or a job training program shall not be contained in a collective agreement as defined in either of those Acts.

  3. The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make regulations

    1. prescribing employers or classes of employers for the purpose of this section;

    2. prescribing temporary job creation programs or job training programs or portions of those programs for the purpose of this section.
