Workshops

Workshops are a group service designed to address a variety of career and employment needs including but not limited to work search, career planning, education planning, self-assessment and personal development, career decision making, and labour market information.
  • Workshops are available to Albertans who are not attending an education program under the School Act (kindergarten to grade 12). Specific eligibility criteria may apply to different workshops depending on the target population and topic. General eligibility applies regarding ability to participate in group activities and basic literacy levels.
  • Workshops may vary from one day to several weeks in duration.

Workshops may be provided in Alberta Works Centres or at community service/training provider sites. Referrals may come from community agencies, Government of Alberta staff or by self-referral.
