Personal Benefits

Employment and Training Supports

MO-2018-21 - Personal Benefit Rates and Frequencies

INTENT

To assist clients with costs that support their employability.

POLICY

In order to receive a personal benefit, the eligibility criteria as outlined in the Personal Benefits section must be met.

AISH provides an employment and training support benefit to assist clients to cover costs associated with seeking employment, applying for or participating in a training or employment program, or when a client has a job offer.

An employment and training supports benefit may be provided to cover costs for:

  • Applications;
  • Deposits;
  • Registration fees;
  • Testing fees;
  • Tools; and
  • Other goods and services.

Clients may also be eligible for the travel benefit.

Substantiation
Confirmed Employment

    • Written confirmation from employer or pay stubs.
    • A verbal or written statement from the client regarding the cost for the goods and services.

Participation in a Training or Employment Program

    • Written confirmation from the training or employment program.
    • A verbal or written statement from the client regarding the cost for the goods and services.

Seeking Employment or Self-Employment

    • Meeting with the AISH Worker.
    • Additional documentation may be requested to substantiate specific costs.

AISH Workers may request additional documentation if the AISH Worker deems it necessary.

Rate
Actual costs to a maximum of $566.00 in a 12-month period.
