INTENT

To provide guidance around the collection and use of personal information.

POLICY

In accordance with provincial privacy legislation, AISH only collects, uses, and discloses information necessary to determine a person’s eligibility or level of benefit for the AISH program.

Personal information must only be disclosed in accordance with section 40(1) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. If section 40 (1) does not provide AISH authority for disclosure, information will not be disclosed.
