POLICY

AISH provides assistance to adult Albertans with a permanent disability that substantially limits their ability to earn a living. AISH provides a monthly living allowance, a child benefit, health benefits, and personal benefits. Benefits are provided to assist clients with their living needs and with living as independently as possible.

In addition to the monthly living allowance, personal benefits help AISH clients with extra monthly or one-time expenses. In determining an individual’s eligibility to receive AISH benefits, consideration is given to the applicant, client and their cohabiting partner’s income and assets.
